As White textile, we have experince on all kind of washing techniques. As per your request, we can apply your requested kind of washing technique on your products.
In textiles, there are several types of washing techniques used to achieve different finishes, effects, or to clean the fabric properly. Here’s an overview of the main types:
1. Stone Washing
Purpose: To soften fabric and create a worn-in, vintage look (common in denim).
Process: Stones, typically pumice, are added to the washing machine. The rough texture of the stones causes the fabric to wear down and soften over time.
Effect: Faded, distressed appearance, and soft texture.
2. Enzyme Washing
Purpose: To soften fabric and reduce pilling, while also breaking down specific fibers.
Process: Enzymes (usually cellulase) are used to target cotton fibers, breaking down the cellulose and making the fabric softer.
Effect: A worn-in look with a softer, smoother finish. This is also used to reduce shrinkage in cotton.
3. Acid Washing
Purpose: To create a high-contrast, mottled appearance on denim or other fabrics.
Process: The fabric is washed with an acid, usually chlorine bleach, which fades some areas of the fabric more than others, leaving a unique pattern.
Effect: The fabric takes on a streaky or marbleized look, with contrasting light and dark areas.
4. Stone & Acid Wash
Purpose: To combine the effects of both stone washing and acid washing.
Process: A combination of pumice stones and bleach or acid chemicals are used to achieve the desired effect.
Effect: A faded, distressed, and high-contrast look, often used for fashion-forward or retro denim.
5. Sandblasting
Purpose: To create a worn, weathered appearance on denim or cotton fabrics.
Process: Abrasive sand particles are blasted at the fabric under high pressure, wearing down the surface and achieving a "worn" look.
Effect: A faded, aged, and softer feel, but this technique can be harmful to the workers if not properly controlled due to the inhalation of silica dust.
6. Bleach Washing
Purpose: To lighten or fade the fabric, especially denim or cotton.
Process: The fabric is exposed to bleach or a bleach solution in controlled conditions.
Effect: Creates a lighter shade or a tie-dye effect (if applied in patches), often resulting in a dramatic, vintage look.
7. Pigment Washing
Purpose: To achieve a worn, soft, and slightly faded appearance.
Process: The fabric is dyed with a pigment and then washed to soften the color and give a faded, antique effect.
Effect: The fabric looks like it has been worn or aged, providing a vintage, used look.
8. Bio-Washing
Purpose: To improve fabric softness and reduce lint.
Process: Enzymes (such as cellulase) are used to degrade and remove unwanted cellulose (natural fiber) fragments from the fabric.
Effect: A smoother, more refined texture without using harsh chemicals. It's commonly used on cotton fabrics to enhance feel and durability.
9. Pre-Washing
Purpose: To prevent further shrinking and improve color retention.
Process: Fabrics (especially cotton) are washed before they are used in garment manufacturing. This step often involves a combination of water, detergent, and sometimes heat.
Effect: Reduces the risk of shrinkage after purchase and gives the fabric a softer feel.
10. Rinse Wash
Purpose: To clean fabric without stripping away its natural characteristics.
Process: The fabric is washed with water, sometimes with a small amount of detergent or softener, to remove dirt or excess dye.
Effect: Cleans the fabric without altering its appearance or texture.
11. Garment Washing
Purpose: To create a soft texture and specific look for the finished garment.
Process: The finished garment (not the fabric) is washed in a machine, often using one or more of the above methods.
Effect: Softens the fabric, reduces shrinkage, and may alter the look, feel, and fit of the garment.
Tech pack
Tech pack is sent by the customer so that we can understand the fabric and accessory features of the desired model.
Quoting
The price is given to the customer, if the price is approved, the sample stage is started.
Fabric selection
The fabric department finds the desired fabric and the fabric approval is received
Sampling
After the fabric approval, a fit (proto) sample is prepared according to the customer's body size chart and sent to the customer for approval.
